Photo a Day – Day 3

And so the end of the holidays draws to a close. Not that I ever was on holiday, but SO has been, so there has been a pervasive feeling of holiday permeating through my life over the past several weeks.
To celebrate (commiserate)  the end of the holidays, we went for a long drive outside of Johannesburg, we went to Hartbeespoort, a small town about 30 minutes away. And then realised that the rest of Johannesburg had the exact same idea as we had.
Nonetheless, we had a great day out with some delicious food, good company and a couple of drinks.
Sadly because everyone and their mother was in Hartbeespoort, We couldn’t get anywhere close to the great photo spots, so this is leading me to repost another old favourite.

This was in Auckland in September, when we were traipsing around the city. I caught this shot of SO in a period of strong hangry, but I love the city in the background and sort of the sense of movement that’s in the picture.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

    1. Ah, I’m so excited for you! When you’re in Auckland, you have to go across the bridge to Devonport and have some fish and chips!

Also, the photo opportunities are great 😁
